"Frontiers and Perspectives of Nuclear and Hadron Physics"

Date and Location

  • Data: June 11-12, 2007
  • Location:
    • June 11: Multi-purpose hall, International House; Main Building
    • June 12: S632, Building S6 (tentative)

Purpose

The symposium "Frontiers and Perspectives of Nuclear and Hadron Physics" will be held on June 11-12, 2007 in the O-Okayama campus of Tokyo Institute of Technology, conveniently located in the west of Tokyo.

The aim of this symposium is to exchange ideas about current research activities on experimental and theoretical nuclear and hadron physics. In Japan, two new facilities RIBF at RIKEN, and J-PARC at KEK-JAEA are now being born. It is thus high time that we discuss not only the current activities but also the future perspectives.

This symposium in particular aims at promoting young nuclear and hadron physicists. This symposium is thus composed of two main parts. The first part covers talks by Ph.D students and young nuclear physicists. The second part is for lectures to these young students by the selected experts in this field.
